Ruby Kisses Jellicious Lipgloss Reviews + Swatches

I've been trying to get better at blogging and doing this but I'm really horrible at keeping track of these things. :/

Anyways! I bring you~ A review of a super amazing gloss that I discovered a few months ago! AND, it's super cheap! Only $1.99 each!

HERE WE GOOOOO~

This is my kitty~ Product modeling the three lip glosses that I have.
Obviously I have three, I believe there's..10 or 12 glosses and all of them have a food counterpart. The ones I have are:
Berry Sexy Secret/ Plum Seduction/ Crushes Strawberries

Swatches on hand~

Crushed Strawberries
Bare lips. Nothing on it.
1 layer of Crushed Strawberries

Crushed Strawberries is a lightly tinted medium pink lip gloss.
This is actually my favorite lip gloss to date. I love the smooth "vinyl" look ("Vinyl" is what I found someone else describe a similar look)
It's a very moisturizing lip gloss and if you start out with chapped lips, if you wear this gloss for about 5 minutes and wipe it off, your lips will feel absolutely AMAZING.
The gloss is non-sticky and I actually mean this. My former favorite was Victorias Secret tube gloss which had the same finish but it was very sticky.
The scent is an artificial strawberry smell, not too strong and not sickening. I actually love it when my cosmetics are fruit scented but not everyone does. The scent goes away after a while though so if you can get through applying it, you'll be good to go.
I love putting this gloss over a pink lipstick or actually any lipstick since it's pretty sheer.

Plum Seduction

1 layer of Plum Seduction

Plum Seduction over a red lipstick.
A deep brown/red lip gloss.
Plum Seduction is a very pigmented gloss but, it tends to settle in the lines a bit.
It has the same amazing feel as crushed strawberries but I guess since CS doesn't have much pigmentation, you can't really tell where the color goes.
I'm not really sure what the scent is...I would guess that it's Plum but it doesn't smell exactly...plummy. haha either way, the scent isn't that strong and I actually like it.
The gloss seems to do the best when it's over lipstick or lip liner.

Berry Sexy Secret
1 Layer of Berry Sexy Secret

B.S.S. Over black liner

Berry Sexy Secret is a black gloss and when swatched on the hand it looks super pigmented but, like Plum Seduction, it settles in the lines of your lips.
It smells like apple cinnamon hand sanitizer. haha
This is the strongest scented gloss out of the three I have.
Over lipliner it looks beautiful and it's actually very useful...for goth looks! xD
I'm really not sure why I bought this color...I guess it was just an impulse buy.

The Good Junk:
Moisturizing
Smells like fruits
Love the smooth finish
Super cheap

The Bad Junk:
It smells like fruits (might be bad for some people)
The color settles in the lines of your lips
Possibly hard to find since I only know of 1 store that sells it

Anyways!
Check out Ruby Kisses! They have a lot of super nice products for cheap!
They also have a transparent setting powder that I LOVE and a super nice gel liner~

NYX HD Studio Photogenic Foundation 02 Soft Beige Review

I LOVE Nyx cosmetics so naturally, when I had to buy new foundations, I grabbed me some nyx-o~

Photo taken from nyx website

The foundation retails for 14.99 at Ulta which, unfortunately, is one of the only places I can get NYX.
They were having a 40% off sale so I jumped on it originally thinking that I was going to have to buy two separate shades to mix into the perfect color.

I had tested the colors out in store but ended up buying online. In store, Soft beige seemed too light so I mixed it with 03 and it matched my hand perfectly. Unfortunately, online 03 was out so I settled for getting just 02 with the intention of buying 03 when it came back in stock. BUTTTTTT

LO AND BEHOLD! 02 was actually a PERFECT match for my face.

The only carry a few shades at the moment so it might be difficult for some to find their perfect shade. I was lucky enough to not have to go through that problem but I know a lot have and might still.

This is a picture of my bare skin. I have rosecea which causes redness in the cheeks. I know. It sucks.
ANYWAYS. Other then that and my huge birthmarks, I really don't have much of a problem with my skin. I have small pores, I don't break out that often and have minimal bumps.
BUT, the rosecea really isn't shown as well as it does in person. MY FACE GETS REDDDDD.
Plus my "angel kisses" are red/pink. X___X

SWATCHHHH

My skin afterwards. As you can see, a lot of the redness in from the rosecea is covered. This is with only 1 layer of NYX foundation. No concealer or anything. Applied with a dense eco-tools brush. 8D

The Good Junk:
Medium-Full Coverage
Light Weight
Cheap compared to higher end "HD" products
Dewy finish by itself
Gives you beautiful even skin
Comes in a pump container

The Bad Junk:
Color matching is difficult. Only 8 shades.

Honestly, it's the only thing I could think of that's wrong with this foundation.

I paired up this foundation with the Champagne and Caviar palette to make my "signature" bomb shell look that I do variations of for the more "sexy" shoots.

NYX Caviar and Bubbles/ Champagne and Caviar Swatches and Review

Hello~

So, a while ago, I did a small Ulta haul and I'm just now getting to doing the swatches and reviews.

LETS GOOOO~

Picture was taken outdoors in natural lighting.

The main reason why I bought it was because of the "natural" colors. A lot of really beautiful taupes, browns, a few pink-ish shades.

All of the individual eyeshadows are pretty soft, there's not a lot of fallout from what I've seen so far.
4 matte shades, 6 shimmer. The shimmers look really nice as an all over lid color and as a highlight as well. I'm actually not sure why they put a white in this palette, it's not overly pigmented...I suppose it's alright just to add a bit more highlight? Maybe use it in the inner corner or your eye? I don't know.

This is a really awesome palette to take on trips since you have tons of natural colors that are good for everyday looks. I actually purchased full size versions on the dark brown and black which I absolutely LOVE. So, if I'm ever super lazy and don't feel like toting around slightly bigger versions, I can just take this a long.

Swatchessss.

Taken outdoors in natural lighting. I'm a NW 18/  Nyx 02 if you're wondering. :P

The colors are on a bare arm, no primer, nothing. As you can see, the colors are really soft (except the dark brown and black, derppp) so perfect for every day.

This cost me $6.59 on sale. I think regular price it's about $10-12.
Definitely worth the price since it's so handy to have.

I did a look using just this palette, pics to come later in my next review with the NYX foundation. :)
