OLENS Scandi contacts Review [Olive]

Hello and welcome (back?)!

Today I have a real treat to review!
As circle lenses and colored contacts have gotten main stream, the demand has caused more and more brands and websites to pop up and it's easier than ever to get ahold of lenses.
But...how can you make sure you're getting good quality?

I personally rely on reviews of fellow bloggers and I'm so happy to be able to bring to your attention my recent go-to brand!

As I've gotten older, I haven't been able to wear the same circle lenses that we've all come to be familiar with (and the ones that I used to wear for 8 hours) and I started to look for alternatives that were comfortable and breathable for my (increasingly) sensitive eyes.

This has resulted in a lot of trial and error with circle lenses/color contact lenses and brands but I've been using

for about 2 years now and my eyes are happy about that!

As with any colored lens, the things I value the are COMFORT, COLOR, DESIGN and COST.

The Olens brand has been around since 2007 and they're constantly innovating and creating new ranges for their customers and I'm so excited to show you one of their newest lines, SCANDI.

OLENS Scandi contacts Review [Gray]

Hi hi and welcome back for Olens Scandi review part 2/5!
Today we're focusing on the Scandi Grays~

I'm personally a sucker for gray lenses. If I was to ever be asked what color eyes I would want, Gray would be my top choice ( along with a vibrant green lol). Because of this, I always tend to purchase gray lenses but one of my biggest issues is finding a natural looking contact while still being brightly colored.
Another issue is being able to find 1 day lenses that have the same vibrancy as the monthly/quarterly/yearlys out there. (Spoiler alert: The 1day lenses look EXACTLY like the monthly)

OLENS Scandi contacts Review [Light Gray]

I was surprised that Olens decided to do another gray color in this line but I definitely think it was a good call.
Light Gray is one of the brighter colors of the line and I'm personally a huge fan of the light colored constants that actually SHOW UP Light colored on dark eyes.

This color is ~perfection~ and I'd personally love to see it as a daily lens also.

Something that I haven't mentioned before is that Olens is the official lens company for the members of BLACKPINK and I died a little bit when I found out that the girls wore these exact lenses in their recent MVs.

Lisa is my personal favorite (like...favorite favorite) and she wore these in their Ice Cream MV. I was originally going to try and recreate her look for this review but Lisa is basically a queen and I cannot compare so I didn't even attempt it. LOL
But, I did get some clip in bangs as an homage to her, haha.

OLENS Scandi contacts Review [Hazel]

Scandi's original three shades Olive, Gray and Hazel all come in Daily lenses and Monthly.
Originally I had skipped on hazel because I was a huge fan of Olens' Russian Gold dailies and had already purchased a new pack of them.

I'm actually super glad that I had the opportunity to try out the Hazels though!

Hazel and brown lenses are a really nice color to have on hand when you want lighter looking eyes without COMPLETELY changing your eye color and look.
Some people might think "why would you wear brown contacts on brown eyes?" but if you click the jump, you'll see why you definitely want to get your hands on some!

OLENS Scandi contacts Review [Aqua]

Welcome back for the final review of 5!!
Make sure to read through the other ones (link to all of them at the end) or if you just want to look at the images, that works too!

Here we have the last but not least, Scandi Aqua!

Aqua is one of the newer colors to their line and advertised as an upgrade to their spanish blue lens.
As such, it's only currently offered as a monthly lens compared to their original three (hazel, olive and gray).

This lens was also worn by Lisa and Jisoo in Blackpink's Ice cream MV!

To really show case this lens I tried to do an "ice cream" inspired look but...it turned more candy inspired...could it be? S-Sour candyyyy (i'm sorry. I'm just high key  low key obsessed with Blackpink.

Anywho~ make the jump for the rest of the review!

Ipsy September Glam Bag Plus Unboxing

A couple months ago, Ipsy started to change how their "Glam Bag Plus" bags were done.

(Incase you're not familiar with Ipsy, they have 3 subscription types.
Glam Bag = 5 Deluxe Samples for $12/month
Glam Bag plus = 5 Full Size products for $25/month
Glam Bag Ultimate = 8 Full size products and 4 sample size for $50/month)

So, originally, you were able to pick one item for your bag and the rest would be chosen for you based off of your preferences. NOW, on the 2-3rd of the month, you're able to choose 3 of your items from a selection of products and then the last 2, they choose for you.

Part of me enjoys the control I get over my products but a part of me also enjoyed the surprises each month.

Another thing they changed were the bags for GBP. All GBP  will be come with a drawstring bag instead of the little coin bags they originally came with. I think they changed this so that you can actually put the products in the bag instead of just shipping the products with a bag that they won't fit in, haha.

This month's bags were all a gold and burgundy themed corduroy theme which I was all about (Gryffindorrrrrrr)

buttttt, let's check out what came in this months bag!

Boxyluxe September 2020 Unboxing

I'll be the first to admit that I have a problem. And my problem...is subscription boxes.
I used to have three (Birchbox, Boxycharm and Ipsy) but I quickly realized that I enjoyed receiving full size products more then samples so once my birchbox came up for renewal, I canceled it.

I've always been generally happy with my Boxycharm and Ipsy glam bag plus though!

I have (of course) the normal Boxycharm Subscription that gets sent every month with 5 full sized products ranging from skincare and makeup to life style items for aprox $25 a month (not including tax).

With the base box, I also upgrade every 3 months (quarterly) to their BoxyLuxe Box. This include 8+ products, in which you get to choose 2 of them, for $49.99 (not including tax).

I was SUPER happy with this box in particular because I received items that I had been eyeing (because I keep up with spoilers and stuff) and am excited to share with you all what I got!

Kaja Beauty Bento Glowing Guava Review

Hello again!

I told you all that I would definitely be posting more and I plan to follow through!

One of this things that did NOT take a hit throughout this world pandemic is my makeup shopping.
Well, that's not exactly true. I did slow down on my makeup intake but mainly because I haven't been wearing makeup at all or taking part in any photoshoots recently.
I did a decent amount DURING the mandatory stay-at-home stuff but after that, nada.

One of the things that kept me entertained and not dying form boredom where my subscription boxes! I'm hoping to start reviewing those but with shipping being so finicky, it's been a toss up of wether I've been receiving them in a timely manner. Anywhoooo~
Onto the actual post!

Becca Zero No Pigmentation Collection Review

Hello and welcome to my first post in a LONGGGGGG time!

Here I am, once again, trying to revamp my blog and be more regular about posting.
The easiest things to post about at the moment are , of course, reviews!!

With the whole ~World Pandemic~ still in full swing, I've picked up a couple of new hobbies but also wanted to get back into blogging as a way to pass the time.
I've been very fortunate that I've still been able to enjoy my beauty subscription boxes so I'll be doing break downs of those as well as reviews for any products that come my way.

This particular duo came from Influenster. I've been a member on the app for quite some time now but have only put in the effort for keeping up with it in the past couple of years.

I HIGHLY recommend signing up for the FREE app and doing reviews because you can be eligible tor receive some amazing products. (I received a FREE Pat McGrath palette and all I had to do in return was write an honest review.)

Most recently, Influenster sent me these two products from Becca's new Zero line to try out and review.
Becca Zero No Pigment Virtual Foundation and Becca ZeroNo Pigment Glass Highlighter. If you're interested in hearing (reading) my honest opinions about these products, click "read more" to jump!
