OLENs Black Swan BTS Review [Olive Green]

Hello and welcome to the start of the holidays!

This review is going to be a littleeee bit different then my past reviews. Mainly because, with the holidays, (thanksgiving is tomorrow) i've been on the go-go-go.
With that being said, I'm actually putting my new phone to the test and doing this review from it!
I keep thinking about getting a new laptop and desktop but honestly, it just hasn't happened yet and with how much phones can do, I find myself feeling wasteful when I think about a laptop.

Anyways, enough about me~ Omore about the lenses!

OLENs just launched a brand new site:

and if you use my code: mikilanii10 (affiliate code obvi) you get a percentage off!
They asked for my favorite lenses originally and I went with the Russian Smokey Olive and the Scandi Grays

Because I've already reviewed those lenses, I decided to review the Black Swan BTS lenses in Olive green!

OLENs Vampire Red Review

To match with the Vampire Silver contacts, it's other half, Vampire Red!
I feel red lenses are THE finishing touch for any vampire costume or makeup look and Olens definitely delivered on this.
Since I already went on a mini rant about what original creative lenses were like in the Vampire Silver review,
dive into this post with me as I talk all about these lenses (but also my take on the "vampire" look for this review, haha)

OLENs Vampire Silver Review

Just in time for Halloween~
If you have been using circle lenses for as long as I have, then you're probably familiar with cosplay lenses. Or even the "old school" circle lenses that are HIGH drama and super enlarging. I do feel like the industry is expanding more towards everyday lenses which is one of the things I personally love about Olens but, there's always a need for the more dramatic ones also.

When I say I've had my fair share of lenses, I mean it. You could just look through my review history going years back and would see that I've tried some crazy (and large) lenses. With that being said, not all of them have been comfortable. Wether it was the material they were made out of, the fit, etc, some lenses just didn't feel right. Because of that, I've slowly become more and more hesitant to use the enlarging creative lenses unless I've used that brand before and know their quality. I knew Olens wouldn't let me down though!

Well! Although the collection isn't large, if you're looking for red and silver lenses, I may have found the ones for you!

OLENs Glowy Lens Review [ Black ]

Welcome back to more reviews!
I'll be 100% honest here and admit that I've just been focusing on work and nothing else since the pandemic has been just sucking me dry of all creativity!
I'm very fortunate for these sponsored reviews to really force me to do something because without that motivation, I'd just be sitting on the couch being a potato when I'm not working, haha.

Anyways~ I bring you OLENs new lenses, Glowy Eyelighter!
The concept of these lenses is to give you a natural and realistic highlight to your eyes to add dimension!
I'm normally more of a fan of the bright colored lenses but these ones are actually really pretty! With how the colors and pattern work together, it gives a *sparkle* to the eye without light!

First one up, Black!

OLENs Glowy Lens Review [ Ash Gray ]

Second one up, Glowy Ash Gray!

Sometimes I wonder if I should combine the same lens line in one post but then I always think that each lens deserves its own post also. Decisions, decisions!

The breakdown of pictures can make a post really long so when I include all of them for each lens in a single post, especially if it's more then 3 lenses in the collection, it can imagine people getting bored by scrolling.
Is it just me who likes short and to the point posts? Especially when I'm looking at reviews, haha.

OLENs Glowy Lens Review [ Brown ]

And another one! This is the last color in the Olens glowy collection, Brown!

I got a new backdrop that I ended up using for the box photos but I still haven't used for anything else, haha. I thought the colors matched the boxes so well but because of the light you can barely see it. Wahhh.

Any who~ I mentioned this in another post but I tried to make sure I did different looks for each lens to show how versatile they can be and this is the more "clean" beauty one! Which kind of looks do you prefer??

OLENs Russian Smoky Lens Review [Gray]

I know what you might be thinking by now. Did my blog turn into a circle lens reviewing blog?
Funnily enough, that's basically what it's always been! I'd love to be a one-stop-shop for finding your new favorite lens!
I've definitely noticed a change in the type of lenses that I've been wearing throughout the years though! It started off with the eye enlarging, cosplay lenses and have morphed into the more subtle "mature" styles. Mainly because I don't cosplay anymore or partake in different fashion styles as much these days.
(I wear scrubs 95% of the time LOL)

Throughout the years, I've been trying to find lenses that lean on the more "realistic" side even if they are bright colors and these lenses fall under that umbrella~

OLENs Russian Smoky Lens Review [Brown]

Rounding out the Russian Smoky line with Russian Smoky Brown!

I think the Smoky line might be one of my favorites...along with Scandi.
These colors have been gorgeous and I really can't get enough of them. The colors just blend so well with each other and look so smooth on the eye even up close!

O-lens is also one of the only brands that I know of that not only continuously creates new daily lenses for extra comfortable wear but the daily lenses are also VIBRANT instead of just subtle, boring designs. As someone with sensitive eyes, I think that there's always been difficulty in finding affordable lenses that are comfortable and also give you the color impact you want...at least until I discovered O-lens~

I also can't pick which color (out of the 3) is my favorite since they were all so versatile.

As a cute note, one of my cats has been keeping me company literally the whole time that I've been typing up blogs and I keep telling myself that she's acting as my support!

OLENs Russian Smoky Lens Review [Olive]

As you all know by now, my love for green lenses never dies.
I've tried so many of them now but I think these Russian Smoky Olives are really unique and worth checking out if you're looking for a soft green that's bright and noticeable but not GREEN green with saturation at 50+ (photoshop/picture editing reference?).

I feel like my description of this color just doesn't do it justice so luckily I took pictures, haha.

[P.S. Ignore all of the different makeup looks that are photographed. One of the days I was trying to take images, my computer was acting up and I gave up. LOL I'm pretty sure it's on it's last leg. ;'( ]

OLENs x Kirsh Blending Cherry Moon contact Review [ Gray x Brown]

 Hello hello!

It's honestly been a crazy couple of months on my end but here we are again with another contact review!

This time with the OLENs Global Cherry Moon lenses in Gray and Brown!

For this review, I'll be doing a 2-in-1 review for both colors so you can see them together!

The first thing that draws me to these lenses is the packaging! I love the soft peach pink and lavender colors of the boxes! The little cherries are also a super cute touch! I just know that these are going to be cute and feminine!

OLENs and Kirsh Blending did a little collaboration for these lenses and they also came with a warming eye mask, a super cute contact case AND a velvet lip tint (which I'm wearing in the pictures)!

By now I'm sure you're curious as to what these lenses look like so lets start the review!

OLENs BTS DNA Contact Review [Destiny Brown]

(Spoiler alert: These were my FAVORITE lenses from the BTS line)

Here we are again with another review for the OLENs Global BTS line but this time, with Destiny Brown.

Every now and then I'll pick out a brown lens (usually more gold) but it's really not often. If you read the light blue review, you'll know that I wanted to try out the destiny line because of that shade but this one honestly blew my mind.

It reminded me of a desio lens I had a couple years back which had this vibrant caramel (almost...vampire-y) brown that photographed SO WELL on brown eyes.
I won't get into it to much right here, but if you keep reading, you'll see more of my gushing over this lens!

OLENs BTS DNA Contact Review [Destiny Light Blue]

The OLEN's BTS line came with a variety of different images (I'm assuming random just like the photo card on the inside) and the light blue was the only color for me that came with a different box then the others.
(Funny enough, I got the image on this box 3 times in the photos cards of the other boxes, haha)

This was actually the color (Light blue) that caught my eye the most because I'm sure I've rambled on about how much I LOVE brightly colored lenses. They show up great in photos and look even better with my different assortment of wigs.

I've seen them do gray and light grays but this is the first time that I've seen them do two different shades of blue in the same line so I was excited to see both and be able to compare them as well.

OLENs BTS DNA Contact Review [Destiny Blue]

Alas, the final Olens x BTS DNA Destiny review!

If you've read the other reviews, you'll know that they had a Light Blue color in the same collection but that one and this Blue color are so different!

It's always so interesting to see how different colors and lenses can be even if they're in the same color family!

Once upon a time, (think closer to the early 2000s LOL) I was REALLY into dark blue lenses (with a really dark, and admitedly unblended, smokey eye) so this kind of color is a huge throwback to me.

Click the jump to see how these faired!

OLENs BTS DNA Contact Review [Destiny Pink]

For anyone who's a BTS fan, you might have seen or heard about this collaboration with OLENs Global and I'm super excited to show you some of their lenses form the collection!

I really wanted to try out the BTS Destiny line because the color seemed so vibrant and playful (plus it was close to Valentine's day at the time and I HAD to try the pink lenses) and the packaging itself was so eye-catching.
The pop art look to them was very inspiring!

Olens has a range of beautiful natural colors so I was really interested to see how their take on a "creative" color lens would go and how it would show up on dark eyes.

Bonus is that each box came with a random photo card surprise!

Pink was the first one I had to try out so if you're interested in seeing the lens up close and reading more details about the line, hit the jump!

OLENS FrenchGold Contact Review [Hazel]

Welcome back to 2/3 OLENs Frenchgold collection review!

This time we're trying out the Hazel lenses from the Frenchgold line which are advertised as the most natural looking of the three!

I love the fact that OLENS usually launches new lines with the colors that I get regularly.
Always up for trying out Grays and Greens (probably my favorite colors to have on tap) but sometimes a more natural lens is nice for an every day look.

There's definitely been times where I felt like wearing lenses but didn't want to be too over the top so a lens like this is perfect for those occasions.

Enough of my rambling though! Onto the reviewww~

OLENs FrenchGold Contact Review [Olive]

Ta-da! The last of the new FrenchGold collection from Olens Global! Olive!
It's honestly been a crazy couple of weeks but here we are wrapping up the reviews for this~

Anywho~ I'm sure you all remember by ranting and raving about how green is one of my favorite contact colors to have on tap and this still holds true! I think Greens and grays look the best with my skin tone and hair combo and I'm happy to carry on my belief with my contact fuel from Olens, haha.

OLENS FrenchGold Contacts Review [Gray]

Welcome back to more OLENS Global reviews!

I can't thank OLENs enough for supplying these color contact lenses for me to try out for review. I'm constantly looking to try the newest designs of lenses and experimenting with looks and who knew that we'd be looking to the past for inspiration!

It's been said that trends always come back and it couldn't be more true now and, honestly, how nostalgic for me! These lenses (As I'm sure I've mentioned before) are based off of Y2k Trends!
Not to give out my age or anything (LOL) but I thoroughly experienced the early 2000 fashion trends first hand and it's a little weird to see some stuff come back...
(Lets hope the thin pencil brows never come back)

I am super excited to see how the trends change over time and morph into their own thing though!
