[Review] Coleyes Contacts Cosmic Violet

I really wanted to get some purple lenses for a Raven and Kuromi costume. Recently I purchased 3 different violet colors and can't wait to see how all of them perform!

This particular lens series actually comes in two different designs. There's the Cosmic mesh one which covers the pupil and then the normal Cosmic that doesn't. I believe there's also 1-day/ 6-month and 1 year variations.

These contacts were purchased by me from Coleyes during their buy 10 for $99 sale (it's not really a sale since it goes on for so long but I have seen it go to 9 lenses for $99).

Each lens pair comes packaged in a box with a lens case included~

DIA: 14.50
BC: 8.5 mm
Water Content: 40%
Material: HEMA and NVP
Thickness: 0.06mm - 0.12mm

I was just thinking the other day that I'm glad lenses started coming in these packets instead of the bottles they used to be in. The bottles were sometimes super hard to open and I cut myself a few times too many on the little metal bands keeping them closed.
I think it was just an asian lens thing though? Does anyone else remember those bottles?!

The top side of the lens has all the designs while the back of the lens has a deeper violet color as it's base.

Strait out of the camera!

Color
CRAZY VIBRANT! These contacts showed up so brightly on my eyes and looked exactly like the advertisements. The Violet is really highlighted by the lighter lavender/white designs that mimic iris texture but remind me of a magic circle. Like a cute magical girl magic circle.

Design
The design of this lens is pretty neat. I;m not sure the exact process so I'm calling it "printing" but it seems the design was done in layers since you can see that the back of the lens is a deeper violet then what you see when worn. It adds a lot of depth to the lens and, paired with the color, gives off a costume-y ethereal look.

Size
These enlarged just a little bit and the gimbal ring really helps to emphasize that as well.

Comfort
I'll be honest, I'd rate these about a 7/10 on comfort. They didn't hurt or feel irritating but they do hinder visibility a little bit. I can't remember but I think the mesh reduced visibility by 80% and these ones by 30%? If you were staring straight on at all times it wasn't too bad but there was purple around my peripheral. Not necessarily a physical discomfort but more of a general discomfort as loss of some sight can be a little weird.
