OLENS Scandi contacts Review [Olive]

Hello and welcome (back?)!

Today I have a real treat to review!
As circle lenses and colored contacts have gotten main stream, the demand has caused more and more brands and websites to pop up and it's easier than ever to get ahold of lenses.
But...how can you make sure you're getting good quality?

I personally rely on reviews of fellow bloggers and I'm so happy to be able to bring to your attention my recent go-to brand!

As I've gotten older, I haven't been able to wear the same circle lenses that we've all come to be familiar with (and the ones that I used to wear for 8 hours) and I started to look for alternatives that were comfortable and breathable for my (increasingly) sensitive eyes.

This has resulted in a lot of trial and error with circle lenses/color contact lenses and brands but I've been using

for about 2 years now and my eyes are happy about that!

As with any colored lens, the things I value the are COMFORT, COLOR, DESIGN and COST.

The Olens brand has been around since 2007 and they're constantly innovating and creating new ranges for their customers and I'm so excited to show you one of their newest lines, SCANDI.

One of the main things I LOVE about Olens in general are the deals that they have which make their lenses even more affordable.

If you're looking to try out their lenses, they offer "Welcome Kits" for only $34 USD which includes a full size box of 1day lenses of your choice (20 pieces) and 3 pairs of random 1 day lenses to introduce you to other lines! That's 13 pairs of lenses for $34!

(My very first order, I got $300+ worth of lenses for $150. Not only do they constantly have Buy 1 get 1 free deals, you also get a coupon for being a new member AND FREE standard shipping over $100 or FREE express shipping on an order of $150+.)
I also received my lenses the very next week because of the express shipping. They use DHL and if you're familiar with oversees packages, DHL is FAST.

I usually go back and forth between monthly lenses or 1day lenses mainly for ease of use and I find that they're usually a lot thinner and more comfortable then lenses that have a quarterly or yearly use.

Daily, Monthly, Yearly:
Hazel, Gray, Olive = Daily (10 pieces/5 Pairs or 20 pieces/10 pairs)  and Monthly ( 2 Pieces/ 1 pair)
Aqua, Light Gray = Monthly ( 2 Pieces / 1 pair)

Price:
Monthly = $29 per box
Daily 10 piece = $21 per box
Daily 20 piece = $34 per box

Colors Available:
Hazel, Gray, Olive, Light Gray and Aqua

Diameter:
Graphic Diameter = 11.9mm
Lens Diameter = 14.2 mm

Base Curve:
8.6

(Also...can we talk about packaging?! I love the holographic boxes and colors that they use)

The monthly lenses do have a wider range of colors adding in Light Gray and Aqua to the palette which I was personally really excited to try out but I'ma be honest with you... before Olens sent me these lenses, I had already purchased Scandi Gray and Olive so I've already been a fan!

Lets finally get to the actual lenses! To make this as viewer friendly as possible, I'll be splitting this up and each color will receive it's own review/post and I'll link to them all at the bottom!

Something you should always have on hand are natural lenses but just because they "look" natural doesn't mean they can't give your eyes a little extra sparkle!

For those days that I'm wanting a more subtle look, Scandi Olive is the way to go! I'd say that, out of the whole line, the olive lenses are the most "everyday" lens based off of color. They really blend well into dark eyes but still brighten them just enough.

Color
Because I went into trying the Olives with the knowledge that they were a subtle, every day lens, I'd rate these a 5/5. They definitely accomplish what they set out to do. A colored lens to brighten up dark eyes while still remaining soft and subtle.

Design
I personally love how the graphics of this lens mimic the natural "curves" in our irises. If you look closely, you can see how the green of the lens blends in to a brown closer to the pupil and the design itself has "texture" to it instead of being a clean cut in the graphics.

Size
Perfect size for every day use!
Something that circle lenses have been known for are the enlarging effect which is fun in it's own way but not the most natural looking. This is the perfect "your eye" looking contacts!

Comfort
5/5!! I've been purchasing OLENS contacts for 2 years now because of their comfort. I've yet to receive a lens that hasn't been comfortable and "barely there".
