[Sponsored Review] Snow White Costume

Hello!

So, I've been super backlogged with my posts because I've just moved into a new apartment, I didn't have internet for a few weeks and my job is pretty demanding right now, haha.

I'm working on fixing it and I actually have a lot of stuff I want to blog about! (Like dragon*con, all my reviews, etc)

Also, I've been planning to change my blog background soon but still not sure what to change it to...
I've also been way to lazy to change my pictures to the "curved square" that I usually have so...idk if it really changes much, haha.

So, because this review has a deadline, I'm posting it first. :)
And since halloween is right around the corner, I figured "why not?".

[Sponsored Review] Cuicu Flashing Eyeshadow 17

Hello again~

Long time no see! :D

I'm back on my computer and starting to blog again! SOOOOOO. HERE'S MY FIRST BLOG BACK. Well...somewhat. I did post a few other things..but this is my first foreal blog. Foreal foreal.

Anyways, you guys know the drill~ This is a review of a product that was so generously sponsored by KKCENTERHK. If you guys remember, I did another review a little while ago of three eyeshadows from the same brand. These eyeshadows are AMAZING and CHEAP! I really wish they had a matte black though...

SO! Like always, even though this is sponsored, this is 100% my own opinion! If I hate it..well..you'll know. I don't play. HA!

Darmok Clothing Cyberlox photoshoot

I'd like to think that I'm pretty versatile when it comes to my modeling but there's definitely styles that I prefer.
I love frilly, girly things but I'm not a stranger to things like corsets, goth/cyber/rave/fetish wear, etc.
Darmok clothing has been so kind as to collaborate with my twice! This was the second time and I was supposed to be working with 2 other models but our schedules never worked out unfortunately.

The first shoot that was done with them I already had an outfit prepared due to a trade I did with another designer years ago (which I now regret because the wigs I traded were awesome :( haha )
But this shoot, I didn't have a thing to wear. The photographer was nice enough to supply a whole outfit. I was super excited because darmok was sending clothes but, when I got to try it on...it didn't fit at all. :( The length of the piece that went from the neck to the breast was wayyyyy too short.

Anyways, the photographer, John Berger, met me at the Three Muses Boutique. It's a costume boutique that is actually owned by a local cosplayer! I'd known about the boutique for quite a while but never actually went, so I was pretty happy when I actually arrived. They give a 15% discount for models and photographers I believe...

ANYWAYS. They have a pretty large selection of corsets, though a tad pricey. We looked around for things that would match the cyberfalls (which were blue, purple and black). We both decided a corset was the way to go since they didn't have many tops that would match the theme, and then decided on a tutu. I was pretty upset that we chose a tutu because tutu's are EXTREMELY easy and cheap to make. Most of the time, you won't spend more then $6 making one on your own since tulle is about $1 a yard and elastic is even cheaper. I was actually under the impression at first that darmok was sending a bottom to match the top but it was probably better this way, haha.

The tutu ended up being $20 and the corset was around...$60.

The actual employees were pretty friendly and helpful, when I tried on the first corset, I put it on upside down! LOL The ties were at the top which confused me a bit since I'm so used to two ties meeting in the middle, or having it tie on the bottom.

This is a picture (obviously) of the corset and tutu in their main dressing room~

At the shoot, which took a total of around 4 hours, I matched them with a dark blue wig, some fishnets, my stack boots and some arm warmers~
The reason why it took so long was because I did my make-up at the studio which takes me about an hour..>> haha.

HERE'S THE END RESULT!

DONE!

Independence day Lolita shoot! (Featuring..Captain America and Wonder Woman?)

HELLO ALL.

Pfff, I act like someone is actually reading this junk. I know I suck at blogging. (:_;)
Oh well~ I guess I can look back when I'm 50 or something and read about how boring my life was...if my account isn't deleted by then...which it probably will be...>>

ANYWAYS,  about 2 weeks ago, Kendra came up again to shoot another collaboration with Elegy Clothing. In a way I feel bad that Kendra gets to hog all this lolita goodness but at least I know I won't be disappointed with the results, haha. Most of the really amazing photographers live everywhere except where I'm at... :( Which is also why Kendra has to drive 4 hours to get to me. x_x

Getting back on topic because I just know you guys are dying to find out about my adventure in this photoshoot. T_T

Since July 4th was coming up (plus the Avengers just came out) we all decided that a super hero inspired shoot would be super cute and fitting for the holiday. THUS CAPTAIN AMERICA AND WONDER WOMAN WERE BORNNNN.

I kept the make-up relatively simple. CA's was more neutral while WW was more sultry? like. I would really like to expand to more crazy make-up looks but I definitely feel that it wouldn't exactly be suited to the type of lolita looks that I prefer. Actually...no. I doubt they would suit lolita at all. I ADORE the doll look and prefer to keep my loli make-up on that side. haha.
The studio was rented out for a full day (8 hours) so there was tons of time for make-up and different outfits as well. Florida was getting hit by Hurricane? Tropical Storm? Debby, so locations were out unfortunately.

Here's some behind the scenes shots.
CA actually had 2 wigs. One more of a short boyish cut and the other a more hime styled wig (although when it was in the beret you couldn't really tell). We just wanted to see how different it would look and both came out super cute!

With Wonder Woman, I went for a darker rusty red eye shadow (that you can barely see :P) and a dark red lip. Seeing it now, I wish that I had went a bit darker but, that can always be saved for a more gothic look which I would also love to do.

Anddd here's the very first preview that came out.

The wristlets on WW were actually an add on that Kendra felt was necessary since WW wears her cuffs/gauntlets/wristlets/etc. (It was green tape. xD)

I also just ordered stuff from Missha today! So when it comes in I'll be doing reviews~
:D

Flower Dream Lolita shoot~

A while ago I posted about Kendra Paige, coming up for a week of shoots~

So far this is the only picture set that's been..half? finished? We had to shoot the outfit in 2 different locations because the first one didn't turn out.

Don't get me wrong, the pictures were AMAZING! But we went to late (it was a flower field) so most of the flowers were gone. :(

The dress and accessories were made by Miss Chubi of Elegy Clothing. This dress (I think) was made in about 1-2 weeks and it was AMAZING! Even on this sample, all the edges were serged, there wasn't an edge that wasn't finished off and the details were beautiful. I'm a huge fan of j-fashion and love to dabble in different ones but gyaru and lolita are definitely my favorites just because of the girly flare in most of their subgenres.

There's still pictures to be done and among them is my favorite! This oneee

Wig is from Cyperous
Shoes are just some normal platform white maryjanes
White stockings are from Walmart. xD

I also did another lolita shoot with the same designer~ Will post about that also! YAYE

Metrocon 2012~

AHHHHH.
Con season has started for me. By con season, I mean...1 con until next year, haha.

Metrocon is a convention in Tampa, Florida that I've been going to since..2006 I think? Possibly 2007...I don't even know any more.

I must admit, Metrocon hasn't been as fun recently as it used to be. There doesn't seem to be as many cosplayers going but I'm not sure if that's just me. I'm so used to having people show up in these amazing elaborate costumes to enter in the costume contest but...i think I only saw about 4 cosplayers like that. Sad. There's tons of new cons coming up though so I'm thinking that people are just having to choose more wisely on the ones they want to go to. Anywayssss~

Friday~ I actually left around 12:00-1:00 ish so I got to Tampa around 5. Good thing though because I had a show at 9 to be at~

I didn't cosplay on friday since I did get there so late buttt~
I did wear thisss

I was performing in Animebelle's Fairytale Theatre~ All the kimonos are basically the same except color coordinated to each persons favorite color. Of course I have pink. :3

On Saturday~ I actually wore...3 costumes lol.

In the morning I wore Shenhua from Black Lagoon (as known as Chinglish). Unfortunately, I didn't get a lot of pictures in it since I was only in it for about 2 hours.
Next was Asuka~
With my friends Pei Pei Gya as Rei~
We did their short yukata versions which actually comes in two types of figurines. 1 is a "normal" sized and the other one is where they're more..child sized?

I also bought my first and last purchase while wearing this costume!
ALPACAAAA
I EFFIN LOVE ALPACA PLUSHIES. SO CUTEEE.
This one is in a light pink and it's a pretty big plush. $40 down the drainnnn.
NO REGRETS. It was the very last one in this color! It's beady eyes and adorable 3 smile make me all warm inside. :3
It now joins it's fellow fluffies on my bed.

I had a panel to go to at 12 x__X so I ended up taking a nap until around 10~
I got ready to go to said panel and dress assss

SAILOR MARS. 8D YEAHHHHH. FLAME ONNNNN
I only stayed in it for like..1 hour. xD

On Sunday I had a boudoir photoshoot with Spotlight Sexy
Sneak peek timeee

We went through about..6 looks~ Hopefully the pictures turned out awesome. I'll get proofs in about 2 weeks and be able to pick out a few that I love. 8D Renee (The photographer) was an absolute dream to work with. She's so bubbly and cheerful that it's contagious! A lot different then the overly serious or awkward photographers. She's also super cute and makes you feel right at home. We ended up having tons of good laughs and it was just a super fun experience all around.

I finished the day off by wearing asuka again (for 30 mins xD) before I went to go eat at Oishi in Channelside. I SWEAR Oishi and Thai Thani are sooo delicious.

Er..that's it?
