Recently I went to my first local loli mett-up since moving (a year ago x__x) and I've been really wanting to expand on my lolita clothing. Most of my stuff is bodyline or from an Indie brand that I've worked with before. Since I'm still relatively new to actually dressing this way, I've been getting very simple basics to get my feet wet~

Project Illustrious: Winter Palace Promenade (+ MUA haul)

Hello lovelies~

This past week has been...hectic. Not only was it Valentine's day, but I also celebrated my bf's birthday (which was actually 2 weeks ago) and went to one of my friends events.

Last year I was invited to her birthday event and had a really great time so I figured I'd go to this one!
Her birthday event was by invite only but the WPP was open to the public. One of their main goals or..missions, is to "bring fancy back".
A lot of people nowadays seem to not fully comprehend "dressing for the occasion" and wear jeans to a ball or something of that standard and that's really not acceptable.
They're hoping to bring back the tradition of dressing up by hosting these types of events.

The picture to the right is actually of a Dance Card. A dance card is basically..well..a card with the names of the "main" songs. As an ice breaker, you try to find dance partners for each song and have them sign their name under it. You'll see more details on it later. Super pretty though, yes?

[OOTD] Pin-up inspired adventure time~

WEEEEEEEEEEEEE~
My birthday was last month and one of my friends decided to take me out as a late birthday thing since I haven't seen her in forever.
She also decided that since she was driving a bobo car (she got hit a while ago and will be replacing her car shortly) we should compensate for it and dress up. In a pin-up inspired style. With heels.
The place we went is like an outdoor mall. One of those really rich places with only brand stores around. xD It's down the road from a college also so there's tons of little hangout restaurants and stuff.

LET ME TELL YOU. 6 hours walking around in heels is not my thing. I commend the girls who do it. I'm definitely a girl who, when wearing heels, will try my hardest to strut it the whole time and not look in pain..but behind closed doors I'll be crying over my feet. xD

[OOTD] Oh snap!

I decided to dress up today just because I'm still super excited over my hair. I'm scared to style it atm since it's been through a lot in the past few days but next week I'm definitely having fun! I especially can't wait to curl it! :D
I dabbled a little bit in gyaru since I just love their hair and make-up style. :3 I thought this could be a little..gyaru isnpired looks?



ANYWAYS! OUTFIT

The dress and belt came together and I bought it from someone at the flea market in Hawai'i a few years ago. It's pretty cheaply made but it's held up quite well...even though I forgot I had to fix the zipper...the plastic part of the teeth came apart from the fabric part. :(

I know I've seen this dress on taobao also...

Shoes are just some cork heels I found at DD's for about $15.



I'll be posting about tomorrow since one of my friends is taking me out (since she missed my birthday xD) and wants to dressup! We're doing pin-up/rockabilly inspired outfits and I'm hoping my hair will still look alright with victory rolls...I'm not sure how this certain type of bang will do...

Flower Dream Lolita shoot~

A while ago I posted about Kendra Paige, coming up for a week of shoots~

So far this is the only picture set that's been..half? finished? We had to shoot the outfit in 2 different locations because the first one didn't turn out.

Don't get me wrong, the pictures were AMAZING! But we went to late (it was a flower field) so most of the flowers were gone. :(

The dress and accessories were made by Miss Chubi of Elegy Clothing. This dress (I think) was made in about 1-2 weeks and it was AMAZING! Even on this sample, all the edges were serged, there wasn't an edge that wasn't finished off and the details were beautiful. I'm a huge fan of j-fashion and love to dabble in different ones but gyaru and lolita are definitely my favorites just because of the girly flare in most of their subgenres.

Shoes are just some normal platform white maryjanes

White stockings are from Walmart. xD

I also did another lolita shoot with the same designer~ Will post about that also! YAYE
